Bangkok International Gift Fair and Bangkok International Houseware Fair 2008

Bangkok International Gift Fair and Bangkok International Houseware Fair in short is called BIG and BIH Fair 2008. This event is actually held twice every year in April and October.  Interested participants are required to fill in the form in the brochure to become a registered member that would allow you to join the Trade Exhibits.  Participation fee is US$ 2,500 per unit of 9 sq.m. (3m x 3m).

Trade days : Oct. 14-17 Time : 10.00 AM-06.00 PM is open for buyers, importers,  manufacturers, traders, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, department stores, etc. For individuals like me who are seeking gifts, decorative items, home textiles, stationery, toys and games, artificial flowers and plants, handicrafts, household products and small electrical appliances as Christmas presents, guests are welcome to go there on Public days : Oct. 18-19 Time : 10.00 AM-09.00 PM. This event will take place at the Challenger Halls 1 to 3 of Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province,Thailand.

Plum is In for AMEX Business

In the advertising and media world it could never be denied that plum is the hippest color for business. Plum and purple evoke royalty and sophistication. Companies like American Express, Plum TV and Penta water have paved the way of this purple mania phenomena, so thus for BiznBuzz =).

The Plum Card also called as American Express Business credit card is the latest product design that is open to small business network. It offers discount to those who pay early within ten days of the statement closing date, of 2% for balances above $5,000, and 1% for balances below. Users can defer payment without acquiring interest rates. What I like most is that it allows users to set their own billing cycle as desired. Cardholders are allowed one extra card for free, additional card costs $45.

BiznBuzz Idea from a 12 Year Old

I was reading the news that sent a sudden spark in my head to do this blog.  Truth be told, many villages have not yet experienced the use of electricity in their own homes.  They rely on the natural heat emitted by the lamp or the sun that shines by day.

In the latest Tech Buzz, a 12-year-old-boy from Oregon, William Yuan holds the key to one of solar technology’s current problem.  His project is entitled “A Highly-Efficient 3-Dimensional Nanotube Solar Cell for Visible and UV Light”.  This innovation not only utilizes the efficient use of natural materials like UV rays, but also with the use of a three dimensional model it allows a free collection and distribution of all the useful energy making it more sustainable compared to photovoltaic that relies only on visible light.

I reckon in the Nim’s Island movie, Nim and her dad uses solar panels in a remote island to power their high-tech gadgets like MAC computer, lab equipments and more. I would love to see William’s invention be featured in a movie as well like a documentary.  A movie showing clean technology to help save money and mother earth.

Business investors must be geared towards this type of innovators.  Our future needs attention now.  Let’s not cease creating a better world.

BizNbuZZ is Now Open for Comments

I have waited for so many months for this significant time to come for BiznBuzz.  Finally, this new theme is much welcoming.  You may wonder why?  Sometime ago, all my blog data was accidentally deleted in the database.  It was then a big effort for techxplore to restore everything from scratch, even the customized theme.  The result was fine  but it didn’t retain the full functionality of the former site.  Not all buttons were working including the comment box.  Some programs were missing so I installed this 2 column theme to give my visitors a chance to voice out their opinions.  Or shall I say, BiznBuzz is back to business!

Thanks to Chiq Montes (this Filipina Wordpress designer really rocks!) who have been so generous to give out this free Wordpress Theme.  I really like how this blog looks now.  Plus the Ads boxes and the clear layout is all it takes to stay update with the market trend. I just customized it abit on the sidebar, banner and background. Probably the complete renovation will finish soon.

I’m a big fan of Lea and it saddens me that I couldn’t witness this magical event.  As I am bound for home on the 14th of December.  I just wished it was sooner.

FYI, Lea is a multi-awarded Filipina artist.  A one of a kind music artist that has brought her recognition from all over the world.

Synopsis

One of the world’s most beloved and famous fairy tales becomes a hit Broadway musical! Watch Cinderella transform from rags to riches with the help of her fairy godmother in a classical stage spectacular.  You, too, will come to believe that the impossible is, indeed, possible!

Treated like a slave by her Stepmother and stepsisters Portia and Joy, Cinderella seeks refuge in her own little corner of the house, where she daydreams of a better life. Meanwhile, the King and Queen prepare for a formal ball they are giving in order to find a wife for their son, the Prince. The Prince wonders when he will find his true love, and the King assures him that lasting love will come to him.

On the night of the ball, Cinderella fantasizes about attending. Her Godmother teases her for harboring impossible dreams, but Cinderella is miraculously provided with a beautiful gown and a fancy carriage, proving to her Godmother that dreams can indeed come true.  Cinderella leaves for the ball in her new dress and carriage, but she is warned that the magic will only last until midnight.

At the ball, the Prince invites a mysterious beauty to dance, unknown to him and everyone at the ball that it is actually Cinderella.  Portia and Joy glare and jealously criticize the Prince’s choice of women. Cinderella and the Prince marvel that they have fallen in love after knowing each other for only ten minutes. As midnight is about to strike, Cinderella flees, leaving a puzzled Prince and one of her glass slippers behind.

The next day, Cinderella dreamily recalls her adventure at the ball. Portia and Joy, believing that their stepsister can only be imagining the ball, marvel at her accuracy. A Herald announces the arrival of the Prince, who, armed with the glass slipper, has begun to search far and wide for his mysterious love. Cinderella’s suspicious Stepmother orders Cinderella out of the house so that she won’t ruin Portia and Joy’s chances with the Prince. To the delight of Cinderella and her Godmother, magic once again provides assistance, and the Prince recognizes Cinderella. He places the glass slipper on her foot and, lo and behold, it fits. Cinderella and the Prince are joyously united.

Car Loan for a Promising Business

A car is not just a means of transport; consumers spends big amount of money just to get their dream car. However, for entrepreneurs and other businesses it could mean a whole lot important because that is where some people depend to meet their day to day needs.

My parents are into organic farming. They decided to apply for a Car Loan to purchase a second hand Off Road 4×4 pickup. It may not be equipped with the latest technology yet traveling uphill and downhill has become a lot more easier for them. By the end of the second harvest of after a year, it is expected that the total amount borrowed from the Used Car Loan will already be paid off.  Talking of smart investments, only minimal risk was involved with bigger net profit.

Buzz for Napster to be Acquired by Best Buy

The latest entertainment buzz for the online music community Napster which started as a dorm project holds of great interest to Best Buy Incorporated right now.  Best Buy is willing to acquire Napster at $127million.  For the very main reason of boosting its digital music business.

In a similar move, Best Buy have also purchased the computer repair shop Geek Squad six years ago and established it in every store they have.   If they will be successful enough with Napster, it may not only be about music but Best Buy aims to accelerate the growth of their digital entertainment and making it even more accessible to the public.

More Energy Needed at Work

Our workshop on Selected Agricultural Food Biotechnology will be in a weeks time from now.  Most of my colleagues and me are working overtime just to make ends meet. With all the deadlines, I encounter sleepless nights thinking of the things that has to be done without delay.

Every morning is a burden when my body is not cooperating well. I’m too lazy to get up lest I’ll take a leave which is unlikely possible. I’d better grab Chi3 on the nearest shop to lighten up my day. This would provide me more energy that I need at work.

Business Schools Builds Green Classrooms

Environmental friendly study atmosphere or green business pleases the majority of students in business schools nowadays. Lately, study areas have somehow improved dramatically by their conscious drive on going green.

Business schools are building green classrooms by way of installing energy saving devices and energy efficient building designs. Photovoltaic panels where put up on the roof and drought-tolerant plants have also been cultivated.   In addition to this, compost piles and dual-flush toilets where among the new developments. For the reason of creating a new level of consciousness to would be business leaders of the future. This initiative would surely go a long way as it inspire other academic institutions to apply what they have learned for.

Computer Data Recovery and Restoration

It may not be avoided that in some instances our mind is out of focus which leads one committing mistakes. It is possibly due to work pressure or failure to read the instructions clearly that pops out in the computer monitor. These kind of situations dangerously could result to some horrible data loss.

In my case, I have once dropped my USB external hard disk which contains valuable information. I was really shocked on what happened. I know for sure that hard disk have some delicate parts that will not work when dropped. This will really put my work in grave danger. I checked it immediately it’s good that it still can detect my external hard drive, but it hangs up. It seems useless, but I have to get my data back.

Professional Data Recovery service that specializes on damaged hard drives was the only hope as my husband suggested. It took sometime for the data to be recovered. The recovered data was then moved to the new hard disk for restoration. I am the happy that some of the important files were restored and it also saved me from losing my job.
