Mark your calendars on November 28, that is going to be Black Friday! It means that it is possible for you to buy items for holiday on lowest items. It’s going to be the start of BER month soon. It’s time to start saving for the season of giving. I read on the ads that a lot of new surprises will await the lucky shoppers of black friday online. More than being able to get quality items on sale you may also have the opportunity to win Nintendo Wii or iPod. Sounds fun to me.
I’m interested to check out Ritz Camera deals that day as I have always been dreaming to have 18-200 Nikor VR Lens for my D40X. Earlier I was chatting with my good friend M who shares the same passion in photography. She gave me numerous tips on how to do well with our chosen hobby. I was all the more excited to try out other gears to harness my skills. In addition to that, she showed me some links on how to create some DIY gadgets for portraiture paraphernalia. I found it neat and easy to follow. Hope it might resemble the way it was demonstrated by the artist. I need to save money now.

All eyes are fixed to the 70% to 80% discount on all major malls in Thailand. Thai New Year normally have a three long days of celebration. They call it Songkran Festival. The traditional greeting is “สวัสดีปีใหม่” (sa-wat-dee pi mai), basically “Happy New Year”. “Sawatdee” = hello (spellings may vary, i.e. “sawatdi” or “sawasdee”). “Pi” = year. “Mai” = new.
Locals and foreigners would roam the streets particularly Khao San road to join the splashing of water. It could also be a gesture of relief from the exhausting heat as April is the hottest month of the year (with temperature reaching over 100°F or 40°C). Others mixes lime with water which leaves white marks on the face and body. In traditional terms water symbolizes cleansing and renewal, a good practice to begin the new year.
Back to the sales, clearly I’m more excited on the price discounts rather than going out the streets and waste water. Everybody are on holiday except the shops. I wonder if Nikon will have sale on their lenses and flash bulbs. It may not be necessary for me though, yet a 20% discount will be good enough to pry upon or perhaps purchase. That would leave me penniless by the middle of the month. A Cash advance could save me from starving for the remaining days.

I’m no expert in this racquet sport but I’ll try to explain my new findings in the simplest manner. This is about the satisfaction I get using Nike Free 7.0. I have already used it twice on the hard court. The barefoot sensation, flexibility and speed are the best I got so far. I love it…I super like the feel of using it in the court.
On my earlier blog I have mentioned that from Nike Free website (inside -The Evolution>> 7.0 >> Learn from the expert) this shoes are fine for tennis. I didn’t knew that they meant only tennis training.
If you feel you’re playing this sport like athletes do then quit thinking you’ll do better with it. Let me give you one reason why. This shoes doesn’t have good support for the ankle like other tennis shoes can do.
It reminded me of the unforgettable experience my friend had when she tried to learn tennis 3 years ago. Unfortunately the ligaments on her left ankle got torn so the doctor had to let it heal by placing a cement cast which lasted for a couple of months or so.
The ankle sprain and ankle instability are some of the common conditions that tennis players often encounter. But I’m no tournament player either. So that means I can use this shoes as long as I’m conscious enough not to run hard or else it will get ripped off in no time. Or maybe I must try considering the use of Aircast. This way I could support my ankle to prevent it from any injury.

The long due liberty gift is finally here. Chaaarraaannn! A new battery for my Motorola phone.
It’s quirky calling it liberty gift but it’s basically how it is. A liberty gift or my free gift from Ate Carey of Happysteps. She asked me to choose what I want, instead of giving it as a surprise.
The first thing that came to mind was the battery of course since I badly need to replace the present one. It has called my attention several times. Many people failed to contact me for urgent matters on normal low bat occasions.

A short definition of balikbayan box from Wikipedia
(literally returnee’s box) is a cardboard box containing novelty items brought by or sent by a Filipino who is returning to the Philippines from a foreign country.[1] These boxes contain non-perishable food items, canned goods, other food items, toiletries, household and kitchen stuffs, time saving devices, computer parts, electronics, toys, designer clothing, personal items, and hard-to-find items in the Philippines.
I remember two months ago we loaded this brown box to be sent to our family back home in Negros Occidental, Philippines. On it were heavy collection of training materials, Thai products intended for
decorations, foods, dry goods, household equipments and anything that would fit the 24×24×18 box. It was too heavy that two big guys have helped us haul it into the van.
Eversince I left home, sending balikbayan box has never been a ritual. Hubby doesn’t like the idea of spending double, as he prefers to send cash at home. Last November was our first time to send the box that is why I can’t contain my excitement for the recipients.
That plain brown box is just more than a cardboard. That box holds a lot of love which connects to my family far away and most of all this simple gesture somehow eases the pain of separation specially during Christmas .
Extra info, our reliable forwarder last year was Seabra Movers, Thailand with Telephone no. +662 672-7900 and Fax no. +662 672 7970-2.
