In modern days, the tendency of being lost in the city is minimal compared before. Why did I say this? It’s because the use of GPS Tracking has now been widely practiced in techno savvy places like Bangkok for instance. I used to check out the iPhone of my friend and he showed me how to use it. First, you determine the point of origin and destination in the city map. Then a route will show up in a matter of seconds. It’s amazing to see shortcuts and new names on the road list which I have never heard before.

However, is it possible to track your family using GPS? Yes it is. Like what I’ve seen in one TV commercial wherein a kid got lost during the school fieldtrip so he immediately called his parents and in return the parents used the tracking device to tell the exact location of the kid. I really feel it is important to make use of GPS specially on emergency situations. It could save lives. I’d be most happy if I’m being tracked, knowing I am important to somebody.

Though I haven’t tried it yet, sooner when I travel to different cities I am planning to use it for direction purposes. I know it is a big advantage if you got a handy locater. Not only for the main reason of saving time. Also for experiencing real adventure using a techie gadget.

Remember Nemo the clownfish and Oscar the shark? They’re just few of the cute sea creatures that made it to stardome. Now it’s the turn of Shelldon, a yoka shell who is the main character of a light-hearted Thai animation series.

The story is set in Andaman Sea where a young yoka shell was orphaned during the tsunami. He found his new home in a giant clam family in shell land. But Shelldon soon discovers that he’s different from his adopted brothers and sisters, with his ability to absorb oxygen and release it when needed.

The animation for this cartoon series has been sold to over 45 countries now. Consisting of 52 episodes and will be running for 15 minutes. The international version will have Broadway and Filipina actress Lea Salonga to sing the theme song “It’s a Brand New Day.”

Japan’s Focal Co (www.focal.co.jp) has unveiled this new technology called iBoom HiFi. It is an iPod dock which plays music and charges your device as well. iBoom is compatible with all iPods from mini to touch.

As what its name speaks of, it creates boom with two speakers and one inch subwoofer and a tweeter, together delivering five watts over two channels. It can be operated using Apple Remote that comes with Apple TV and Macbook. In Japan it is currently sold at 29,800 Yen or around 10,000 Baht in Thailand price.

T-shirt printing is one of my favorite craft. I learn the technique of simple silk screening through my artsy-fartsy bro. He showed me the process then I immediately memorized the steps and duplicated his work using my own design.

I do share the natural instinct of wanting new things, that is why t-shirt printing puts my ideas into something worth while. I find it fulfilling to create printed shirts sprinkled with labor of love. I have once made for hubby’s bakery business uniform named Seaside Bakeshop. First, I created the design manually in a tracing paper. Second, I cut out the outline of the texts and the design. Third, I placed it in a silkscreen and position on top of the shirt. Fourth, I spread the ink over the design. Fifth, allow the print to dry up under the sun or with the use of a blower. Lastly, I ironed the prints to create an emboss effect.
